Finance & Accounts Department
To oversee and ensure that the following functions of Finance and Accounts Department are strictly adhered to and promptly carried out as necessary:
Key Responsibilities
- ▸ Collate, coordinate and prepare the Commission's annual budget
- ▸ Organize and coordinate the annual budget defense
- ▸ Monitor the release of monthly allocation
- ▸ Record and disburse budgetary releases
- ▸ Ensure proper recording of all transactions and maintain proper books of Accounts
- ▸ Prepare and present quarterly and annual financial reports before the Commission
- ▸ Coordinate the annual External Audit of the Commission's Account
- ▸ Coordinate inspection visits by the Accountant-General, Auditor-General and other relevant organizations
- ▸ Liaise with and monitor the Commission's Bankers and report to the Commission as appropriate
- ▸ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and other extant rules
- ▸ Advise Management and the Commission on all financial matters to ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations
- ▸ Perform other financial duties as may be assigned by the Commission from time to time
